Das überfakultäre Kompetenzzentrum für Südosteuropa sucht eine/n
Universitätsassisten t/in ohne Doktorat
(20 Stunden/Woche; befristet auf 2 bis 4 Jahre; zu besetzen ab sofort)
Aufgabenbereich:
- Selbständige Forschung (u.a. Verfassen einer Dissertation) und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeit im
Bereicht Südosteuropa, inklusive Publikationen
- Mitwirkung, sowie Ausarbeitung und Betreuung von Drittmittelprojekte n
- Assistenz bei der Abhaltung von Lehrveranstaltungen , Mitwirkung bei der Korrektur von
Klausurarbeiten und bei der Betreuung von Diplomarbeiten
- Mitwirkung bei der forschungs- und lehrbezogenen Institutsadministra tion
Fachliche Qualifikation:
- Abgeschlossenes Diplom- oder Magister/Masterstud ium der Geistes- oder Sozialwissenschafte n
- Wissenschaftliche Kenntnisse zu Südosteuropa
- Sehr gute Deutsch und/oder Englisch Sprachkenntnisse
- Erwünscht ist die Kenntnis einer Sprache Südosteuropas
- Erwünscht sind zudem Erfahrungen in der Editierung von Publikationen, sowie Auslandserfahrungen

Job specification
- Independent research (i.e. writing a Ph.D. thesis) and contributing to research in the field of Southeast European studies, including publications.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of externally funded research projects.
- Independent teaching and contribution to assessing exams and supervising dissertations (Diplomarbeiten) .
- Contribution to the research and teaching-based administration of the Center for Southeast European Studies

Professional Qualifications
- Completed Diplom, Magister or M.A. studies in social sciences or humanities.
- Academic familiarity with Southeastern Europe.
- Excellent knowledge or German and/or English.
- Knowledge of a language of Southeastern Europe is desirable.
- Experience in editing publications and foreign experience.

About the role

As Senior Lecturer, you will ensure the highest quality of learning in all aspects of ICT at PGCE and CPD level. Join us and you will contribute to curriculum development, as well as supervising trainees on School Experience. Not least, you will take on research and scholarly activities, playing a prominent role in developing innovative teaching, assessments, consultancy activities and collaborative links.

About you

We are looking for a qualified teacher with successful experience of teaching ICT in a secondary school. Ideally, you have a masters or research degree and a qualification in teaching ICT in this context. However, it’s essential that you’re experienced in delivering INSET for secondary school teachers and you have an excellent understanding of the ICT curriculum. Preferably, this knowledge extends to the 11 – 19 phase of education. If you have led INSET courses and taught in higher education and other contexts, all the better.
